We absolutely need more granular security roles within Engage. Among the many reasons, it violates our security policies to have everyday users able to manage security for each other - this is an IT function. Our Change Control process also requires any config changes be made only after internal review by the IT team.
At minimum, we need:
A content manager role, which would be able to upload and manage content
bonus points if this can be controlled by tile (for example: only Dining can manage Dining content, only Administration can push out Alerts)
A role that allows someone to mark event attendance at calendar events but that cannot add/modify content otherwise
An IT admin role that has access to everything including users, configs, etc. – thinking the Community Admin role comes closest to this, but we should also be able to manage configs that we currently have to go through Sentrics for
Current state, there are far too many hands in the pot for our comfort level. Thanks for considering this vitally important need to customize security roles.
